Hello guys I am Vaibhav and in this tutorial I am going to show you how to remove blur from a photo without disturbing the other area. I am sure an idea has already popped up in your mind that you’ll go to filters and then smart saturation. That process is correct but not that much accurate. It reduces the quality of your photo especially when you are editing JPEG rather than RAW. As being a photographer, I think that most important thing in a photo is its quality. No one likes hazy or blur image. In this tutorial I am also going to use filter but it is high pass filter. By using this filter with some blending mode changes, the blur from your photos will be gone without reducing the quality of your photo.

step 1:make a duplicate layer

With your photo open, press F7 for the layer window. Make duplicate layer. You can do by pressing ctrl+J or command+J.

step 2:add high pass filter

Go to filters>other>high pass.

If your photo width is less than 1600 pixels then set radius between 10-20 pixels. If your photo width is between 1600-2500 pixels then set radius between 20-30 pixels. For images having higher resolution than that you can set radius between 30-50 pixels.

Now change the blend mode to hard light. If you think that you have over-saturated your photo then you can always reduce the opacity.

step 3:add layer mask

Add a layer mask. You can do it by pressing F7 for the layer windows. Now add it by clicking at the bottom lf layer window as shown in figure.

Now set your foreground color to black and select brush tool from the left panel or you can simply press B. Apply brush on the area where you don’t want the saturation. In my photo I am going to apply it on my mid area because I think my  mountain has oversaturated.

You can always reduce or increase the opacity as per your requirement.

And finally you are done here. I know you guys are thinking it’s so long trick but it would take only 3-4 minutes or less if you know are familiar with Photoshop.
